For many pharmacists, this is a time of extraordinary opportunity to make an impact. For some, however, it will mean a lot of stress. Other pharmacists will soar. Now differentiation is the name of the game.

My key motivator is people. The impact we have on our patients’ day in and out is extremely rewarding.

To this day, I can still say that what drives me is to continue to make a positive difference in the world. At Pharmascience, I continue to invest in people, in research, and in our facilities.

As I've evolved as an entrepreneur, one thing I've realized is how important it is for the long term to make sure you take time for your continued development, both mentally and physically. On a certain level this is just self-preservation, but it’s also about being able to put your best self forward in every situation.

I did not consider myself an entrepreneur when I graduated. I was dedicated to my profession and envisioned a career where I might possibly one day be my own boss. I know it’s very cliché to say this, but I could never have predicted what taking the plunge into pharmacy ownership was going to be like for me.

I love the freedom to go after opportunities as they come up. I love getting a team together, developing a plan, measuring results and celebrating the wins. Every small win is progress for a new project and exciting to see traction developing.

The goal is to promote entrepreneurship in the profession by showcasing different examples of "pharmapreneurs" from across all sectors of the industry (whether it is store ownership, franchise ownership, programs innovation, consulting services, resources development, product manufacturing, product distribution, new tech solutions, marketing, recruitment, compounding, and more).

In Season 2 of the Leadership series, a young/early career leader in pharmacy has been featured on a weekly basis. The goal of this series was to showcase the significant impact and valuable contributions of young leaders who are shaping the future of the profession, and to inspire new graduates to maximize their full potential and explore new and exciting career paths.
