I take great pride in knowing that what we have created in Central Fill Solutions is playing a role in helping our client pharmacies become more efficient, which in turn allows them to spend more time focusing on their expanded role within the healthcare delivery system.

If anything good could have come from the pandemic, it is that pharmacies are now solidified as critically important primary care settings. Whether it be immunizations, prescribing for minor ailments, or pre-travel consultations, pharmacists have stepped up and proven our expertise and value to the healthcare system.

I have a lot of roles, and the focus needed to bring a product to fruition or task to completion can be extensive. As a result, time is one of the biggest challenges for me.

After graduating from university, I never thought that I would follow a unique entrepreneurial path. I was working as a community pharmacist and loving the interaction with patients and the changing scope of the profession. I always thought that I would eventually own a community pharmacy and follow the path of so many great pharmacist colleagues.

As a compounding pharmacist, my biggest challenge is discovering new formulas for certain conditions. I am always looking at ways to continue to be innovative or redefine innovation to create something that is out of this world.

At the heart of my professional ethos is a deep-seated passion for the role of pharmacists in healthcare. This passion extends beyond the day-to-day responsibilities of pharmacy practice, encompassing advocacy for the profession and a commitment to enhancing care outcomes. My vision has always been to foster a more collaborative and innovative healthcare environment, where the collective effort leads to significant improvements in the industry.

I recognize the necessity of having a resilient mindset to handle the unpredictability of business. This resilience helps in weathering the inevitable ups and downs and is crucial for long-term success. I have always emphasized the importance of embracing both the good and challenging times, suggesting that overcoming obstacles is part of the rewarding experience of entrepreneurship.

While being my own boss is exciting, being able to help pharmacists maximize their success is equally exciting. Seeing people step into their potential is exciting. And being able to solve the various problems that come up along the way is also exciting.
