What excites you about being an entrepreneur?It enhanced my entrepreneurial skills by working on long-term relationships with patients and staff to build trust and relationships. No matter how much AI progresses, human connection is necessary to create sincere empathy through understanding emotional drivers in the community pharmacy-patient relationship.How do you define success?Success is how many successful, healthy, and futuristic relationships you create in business embedded in the right strategy. Besides that, success is how much you contribute to your patient's well-being from all aspects: emotionally, physically, and mentally. This holistic approach will build up long-term success.As a successful entrepreneur, what continues to drive you?What drives me is how to alleviate and relieve some patient stress by adding value to their well-being in every contact you have with them or their caretakers.What are the biggest challenges to being an entrepreneur?lack of official awareness of the need for more consistent support for the mental well-being of pharmacists and their teams across Canada. That is why we see burnout and retention issues. Lack of awareness of the need to coach pharmacy teams to comprehend how and why community pharmacy is one of the highest psychologically demanding careers.lack of tools that can enhance transparency in work environments at community pharmacies between frontline workers at the pharmacy and all stakeholders (insurance, professional colleges, audit bodies, and other stakeholders).lack of dynamic models of reimbursement that can enhance community pharmacy professional performance.How do you manage your work/life balance?I prioritize my mental and physical health when I feel fatigued by spending more time with my family and doing hobbies that can release stress, like reading intellectual books and watching movies from different cultures.What books/resources do you recommend for every entrepreneur to check out?Resources to educate ourselves are limitless: I believe in self-development through online courses – for example, Coursera, as well as podcasts, and above all, through learning from every person I can.What advice would you give to colleagues who want to become entrepreneurs?The following are my two cents’ tips for any entrepreneurs: humble down – you will learn more; work with your team as a natural leader of value by coaching them and getting coached by them as they have a lot to teach leaders, too. Do these things and you will create the right culture centred around human values, which will build up business on more solid grounds than short-term grounds.
