Dr. James Edward Roland McInnis, a family physician, has been handed an interim suspension pending a final order by the Ontario Physicians and Surgeons Discipline Tribunal.
‘Firstly, she doesn’t have the medical expertise to be able to make that decision about whether gender-affirming care is appropriate. Secondly, calling some of these things irreversible or harmful is simply false.’
The president of the Alberta Teachers' Association said he was worried about how the changes would affect the safety of some of the province's most vulnerable students.
