I recently interviewed Dr. David Finkelstein by phone. He is in charge of physician complaints at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). He also practises as an otolaryngologist/head and neck surgeon in Newmarket, just north of Toronto. We talked about alternate dispute resolution, or ADR. This is where complaints of lesser severity about doctors are quickly resolved by mediation, thus keeping patients and doctors happy and improving care. - 7/23/2020
