TELUS Health recently announced that its virtual care service, Akira, can now connect and directly communicate with all TELUS Health electronic medical records used nationwide by more than 30,000 healthcare providers. The integration also enables connectivity with OntarioMD’s Health Report Manager, which is used by 12,000 physicians in the province.

The researchers developed a gene circuit-based system which translates the presence of a target analyte (i.e. from diseases other than diabetes) into a signal that can be measured by a glucose meter.
