3/17/2014 The news that Telus Health purchased Kelowna, B.C., EMR vendor Med Access took many analysts by surprise. After all, Telus had already bought three EMR vendors: Wolf Medical Systems in B.C., KinLogix in Quebec, and the Canadian Medical Association’s MD Practice Software. It looked like Telus had its hands full integrating these disparate solutions. However, with the recent announcement that it has invested $3 million in PatientSafe Solutions Inc., a California-based mobile healthcare software developer, a larger picture of Telus’s strategy is emerging.
