Taking the Bite Out of Travel: Mosquito-Borne Diseases in Travel Health

With climate change and an increase in the number of Canadian travellers, there will be increased risk of exposure to mosquito-borne conditions when travelling. Pharmacists are encouraged to ask patients about future travel plans, provide education about the risks of mosquito-borne infections, and provide strategies to reduce their risk.

  4. Discuss the different vaccine options to protect against different mosquito-borne diseases related to travel.
