The Alberta College of Pharmacy is asking pharmacists who are compounding infants’ and children’s acetaminophen to match commercial concentrations and packaging sizes to help prevent overdoses in children.
The testing, which is part of the APPROACH study, will allow some pharmacies in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Alberta to test for HIV, hepatitis C and syphilis.
