There are at least 18,000 at-risk patients in Canada who are not engaged in HIV care, despite medication that can reduce their chances of getting the virus by up to 99%.
The Public Health Agency of Canada’s website says 24% of cases tested positive for influenza during the week ending Feb. 8—up from the already-high 21% the week before.
The research paper shows the life expectancy for 20-year-old men living with HIV between 2012 and 2020 rose to 68 years old while for women it only increased to 61 years old.
