    A few years ago, I was asked to participate in PQI—Physician Quality Improvement. This was an initiative stemming from interest by the Ministry of Health and the Doctors of BC. Monies were set aside in the Master Agreement to fund QI initiatives throughout the province. The infrastructure had to be built, courses had to be developed, players had to be found—and they were. Enthusiasts can be found, or made. QI is contagious. Like viral RNA being injected into a bacterium, it spreads quickly and effectively throughout the organization.
