Survey shows 62% of doctors believe minor ailment assessment and prescribing by pharmacists is proving to be an effective way to relieve pressure on the healthcare system.
A report examining visits to emergency rooms and broken down by race says African and Black patients are triaged at the same rate as other racial groups, but are waiting the longest, upwards of five hours in some cases.
The report says the sharpest drop was recorded for people between 25 and 64 years of age, where the likelihood of seeing a friend on any given day fell from 42% to 14% in the 36-year period.
‘Things seem to be a lot more volatile or more extreme. Kids are exposed to things just way too early for their age. And it’s harder to trace, because everything online is anonymous.’
