Better use of assessments could ease end-of-life hospital stays: study
By using standard assessment tools more effectively, long-term care homes could identify whether new residents are at risk of hospitalization or death within 90 days of admission, according to a study by researchers at the University of Waterloo and Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging.
