As the premiers wrap up their summer Council of the Federation meeting in Niagara, the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) and the Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions (CFNU) are reminding the federal government that they still have an important role to play in uniting Canada's health-care system across the regions to ultimately improve the health of Canadians.

Canadians have one day left to let the government know how they feel about allowing a private company to pay citizens in exchange for their blood plasma, a controversial question that has health professionals divided on the safety and supply of the life-saving fluid.
