Two sisters in B.C. are going public to expose what they see as a big hole in the health system after a drug addict was able use their identities to get thousands of taxpayer-funded prescription narcotic pills.
Quebec pharmacists were set to start providing expanded services September 3, but since fee negotiations are still underway, that launch date has been postponed indefinitely.
The Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA) is working on a report to ensure that pharmacy services are on the radar when the country’s provincial and territorial health ministers meet again in early October.
