A four-month suspension was handed down to Dr. Robert Steffen of Melfort by the Council of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan on Nov. 28.

According to a Nov. 22 notice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia, Dr. Gregory John Wicks admitted to practicing medicine while his registration was ‘temporarily inactive.’

Dr. Jeffrey Martin Steinberg was fined $6,000 and handed an eight-month suspension in September.

The person, who was not a patient of the pharmacist, said the pharmacist expressed an ‘an unwelcome desire to befriend me’ on social media.

In addition to failure to maintain appropriate boundaries, Dr. Jeffrey Martin Steinberg was also found to have inappropriately withheld prescriptions for patients.

The college also found that Sameh Elbably had attempted to cover up his actions by reversing those prescriptions.

The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service wrote the incident was an "act borne out of a degree of professional arrogance."
