The new code is based on the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta code of conduct, and the code of ethics of Physicians of the Collège des médecins du Québec
The largest bodies, including College of Physicians and Surgeons and the College of Pharmacists will remain as they are, while two new colleges would represent the other professions
