In a healthcare system that is increasingly focused on operating without walls, pharmacists are evolving to provide enhanced professional services to patients. We will be working more closely with physicians in the coming years, and it is therefore vitally important that successful communication links are built not just between healthcare sites, but also between healthcare professionals.

As a primary healthcare nurse practitioner, I have come to work in a variety of practice settings, and I believe interprofessional health care has demonstrated itself as being the model most capable of benefitting health practitioners and patients alike.
