Disease Prevention

The VON Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic, located in Lakeshore (Belle River), opened its doors on August 17. Funded by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MOHLTC), the clinic will increase access to primary health care in an underserviced area.

As a primary healthcare nurse practitioner, I have come to work in a variety of practice settings, and I believe interprofessional health care has demonstrated itself as being the model most capable of benefitting health practitioners and patients alike.
