The New Brunswick Nurses Union is looking to find ways to cut the number of sick days taken by their members by 20 per cent.

‘Not immune in fearing death’

Ontario nurses need better protection in the workplace in light of a growing incidence of physical violence happening on the job, says their union president.

An inquest into the death of Brian Sinclair, a 45-year-old homeless double-amputee, heard Thursday from a neuropathologist who examined the body and later suggested to the province’s medical examiner that abuse of solvents and inhalants were at the root of Sinclair’s failing health.

Two physicians in a northern Manitoba community have been taken off the job after an "altercation" at the local hospital, the CBC reports.
