Tamer Mosallam, a Toronto pharmacist and pharmacy owner, tampered with a record to falsely show that the 200 diabetes strips he claimed for himself had been prescribed by a doctor, according to the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
'The only reason she did it was greed,' the crown prosecutor argued at Dr. Yifei Shi's sentencing hearing. 'We trust doctors with our lives. We should be able to trust them with our money.'
