The U.S. Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine said that public records show untrained Neuralink employees transported “contaminated” devices that were removed from the brains of “infected” monkeys without safely packaging them.
Halifax regional council voted unanimously Tuesday to designate the former home and clinic of the late Dr. Clement Ligoure, the province's first Black doctor, an official heritage property.
Dr. Ligoure's story was brought to light in the 1980s by artist and historian David Woods, who was doing research for Black History Month at the Nova Scotia Public Archives.
