The Healthcare Interview: ‘Saint’ Cathy Crowe on street nursing and the politics of life
Few people in the health community have had the media exposure of Toronto nurse Cathy Crowe. A longtime caregiver and advocate for the homeless denizens of Canada’s biggest city, she and her work have been the subject of countless newspaper, TV and magazine stories since the 1980s. Most recently, she ran for provincial office, albeit unsuccessfully. Here, Crowe discusses public health issues and how there is still much work to be done.
