As healthcare practitioners, we know that health is not only physical, but relates to social and ecological well-being too. That's why, for nearly two decades, we've worked to protect the environment. It's also why we frequently partner with environmental groups to promote cleaner air, safer water, and to mitigate climate change. These groups do the work they do because it's the right thing to do: to ensure that we and our grandchildren can lead healthy lives in our environment.

Eight national health organizations has asked Jason Kenney, federal minister of citizenship and immigration, to rescind the planned cancellation of supplemental health benefits to refugee claimants under the Interim Federal Health Program.
