Lower mortality rates found for new-generation drug-eluting stents
Percutaneous coronary intervention implantations using a new generation of drug-eluting stents are associated with lower rates of relapse (restenosis), stent thrombosis and subsequent mortality than older-generation drug-eluting stents and bare-metal stents, according to a large Swedish study. - 1/10/2012
