Vigilance Santé releases new mobile version of RxVigilance drug reference tool
Quebec-based healthcare software vendor Vigilance Santé has announced it has released a new mobile version of its RxVigilance drug reference tool.
The RxVigilance tool contains more than 1,600 drug monographs and 115,000 commercial products, as well as prescribing and pharmacotherapeutic analysis tools. Vigilance Santé says their platform helps pharmacists, physicians and other frontline clinicians reduce medication errors and improve patient outcomes.
“Patients value meaningful interaction, particularly regarding their healthcare,” said Vigilance Santé president Andrée-Anne Chevalier said in a news release. “This mobile platform is a precise and efficient tool that enables professionals to provide timely and informed guidance, whether in a hospital, clinic, pharmacy, or remote care setting.”
The new RxVigilance mobile platform will also come packed with several new features, such as age-related warnings, pregnancy and breastfeeding considerations, and other key safety factors. RxVigilance has also been updated to include official Canadian monographs, a professional library, an antibiotic therapy guide, pediatric dose calculators, and expanded adverse effects and indications sheets.
The mobile app is now available for both Apple and Android smart devices.
