While pharmacists are notoriously self-effacing, there is great value in sharing exceptional stories—every good news pharmacy story helps to raise up the profession, and every excellent example of patient care or practice innovation informs and inspires others in their own careers. The Pharmacy Practice + Business Awards recognize Canadian pharmacists providing exceptional patient care and demonstrating creativity and innovation in pharmacy practice. If you’ve been working hard to set yourself and/or your pharmacy apart from the crowd, why not take a little time to tell us about it and become eligible for recognition in our prestigious annual awards program? All the information you need is here, and below is a list of this year’s entry categories: Practice Innovation Award For a pharmacy or group that has stretched the limits of what a pharmacist’s care can do to benefit a specific category of patients Business Innovation Award Presented to a pharmacist/owner, pharmacist/entrepreneur or pharmacy team that has created a unique practice/business that benefits patients, pharmacy practice and/or the healthcare system Public Protector Award Awarded to a pharmacist or pharmacy team that went above and beyond to ensure continuity of healthcare and pharmacy services during an emergency situation (natural disaster, accident, healthcare staffing crisis or other community emergency) Technician Initiative Award Recognizes an exceptional pharmacy care initiative led by a technician or team of technicians Raise Your Voice Award Recognizing a Canadian pharmacist who helped raise the profile and reputation of pharmacy to the public, government or other stakeholders via the media and/or on social media Rising Star Award Celebrates a pharmacist practicing less than five years who has shown extraordinary leadership, innovation and effectiveness in their practice The entry deadline is October 31, 2023.
