Reader contest: Write to win!

At Pharmacy Practice + Business, we know that every pharmacist has a unique and important perspective from which they view the world. As caring health professionals who often interact with dozens of people every day, you are exposed to facets of the healthcare system, personal dynamics and societal issues that others rarely experience. We believe every pharmacy professional has a story to tell. As we wrap up the year and enter 2023, we'd like to encourage you to record your story and share it with your peers across Canada. We'll publish a selection of your stories and, as an additional incentive to share your story, our editorial team will select one submission to win a grand prize of a $500 gift card. Two runners up will receive $250 gift cards. Too busy? We get it. But this doesn't have to be onerous. All it takes is an hour or so to sit down at the keyboard (or with your text recording app) and start. You might even find it therapeutic. Not sure you have a story to tell? Here are some potential ideas to get you started: - Describe an encounter you've had with an interesting person - Tell us about someone who mentored you and why they're special -Do you have a story about a case where you made a real difference in a patient's life? - The pandemic brought many new challenges to pharmacy. Tell us how your pharmacy got exceptionally creative in tackling COVID-19. -Share your experience starting your own pharmacy practice - What was the funniest thing that ever happened to you (at work or otherwise)? - Describe the strangest place you've worked at - What (in Oprah-speak) is one thing you know for sure? - What would your dream pharmacy practice look like? Stories/ blogs can be up to 1,000 words. Submit your stories as Word or Google docs. Please include a photo of yourself along with a short bio. If you have a photo to go along with your story, that's welcome as well. Multiple entries are allowed. All submissions should be sent to Vicki Wood at vwood@ensembleiq.com. CONTEST RULES: Contest closes January 15th, 2023. Open to Canadian residents who have reached the age of majority in their province / territory. Offer is available to story contest entrants only and cannot be transferred. The classification of who is a story contest entrant will solely be down to the discretion of EnsembleIQ. Editors will publish a selection of entered stories on CanadianHealthcareNetwork.ca. Submission of a story signifies permission for its publication. The Grand prize is a (1) $500 VISA gift card (value of $500 in Canadian dollars). There are also 2 secondary prizes of Visa gift cards worth $250 each (in Canadian dollars). No cash alternative available. Winners will be selected by the editorial team of Pharmacy Practice + Business once the entry deadline has passed.
