NEW PRODUCT: AlchemistOne addiction recovery app
A Saskatchewan-based startup has launched a new mindfulness app helping people overcome addiction.
AlchemistOne offers a library of audio and video content that includes meditation courses curated by both mental health professionals and individuals in long-term recovery.
“AlchemistOne is built on the real experiences of people who've been there, including myself,” said co-founder Adam Geiger, who is also a recovering gambling addict himself. “Addiction and depression can feel incredibly isolating and overwhelming. Our goal is to ensure no one has to face it alone, and to provide hope that there really is another way.”
In addition, the app also allows users to track their workout and record their thoughts and feelings through an in-app journal. The company says in the future, it plans on on launching an AI-powered support tool in the future
"Technology alone isn't the answer," said Geiger. "But it can be a powerful ally—especially when it's built by and for people in recovery. We're grateful for the opportunity to offer a possible solution."
AlchemistOne is available for free on the iOS App Store and the Google Play Store.
