Bemotrizinol will initially be sold in the U.S. by the Dutch manufacturer DSM Nutritional Products under the brand name Parsol Shield, which is expected to launch later in the year.

In a statement published in the college’s Dialogue publication, the college said medical directors must be the one to assess the patient prior to delegating care to another provider as per the policy on the delegation of controlled acts, unless a clinical exception applies.
