Ask the Experts: Best way to make ABHR PLO
Question: We compound PLO gels for our hospice department. We are trying to figure out the best way to make ABHR(ativan, benadryl, haldol, and reglan)PLO. We usually mix all of our PLOs make using the shearing force with two syringes method. It was noted that sometimes the ABHR doesn’t look quite as thick as all of the rest we compound. One recipe we have found talks about mixing in a mortar and pestle.
